Boundary Disputes & Registered Land -  Wednesday 17 August at 12:00 pm

Many people are surprised to discover that the red line on the registered title plan may not be the legal boundary, nor was it ever intended that this was its purpose, nor does it mean the Land Registry have drawn the red line in the wrong place. The legal boundary may be in a different place and many factors need to be considered i.e. physical elements, old pre-registration deeds, and common law presumptions. This confusion leads to many disputes.

This course will look at how to work out where the legal boundary is likely to be before embarking on costly and often pointless litigation, and the alternative ways of resolving disputes.
